The breeding base is located in Yuanjiang County, Yuxi City, and Qinzhou, Guangxi. Huazhi Pharmaceutical Yuanjiang Pharmacy, Huazhi (Yunnan) Traditional Chinese Medicine Health & Wellness Co., Ltd., Kunming Huazhi Kande Medical Services Co., Ltd., and Yuxi Huayitang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. are sales channels established at the community grassroots level. Composed of professional sales and medical personnel, these companies focus on leech-based product lines, specializing in chronic disease management and targeting individuals suffering from pain. They have developed a healthcare model centered on community-based health and wellness services, creating a benchmark market that is rooted in Yunnan and serves the entire country.
In 2022, the company partnered with Yunnan Minzu University to establish a specialized key research laboratory and set up an expert workstation. The lab focuses on R&D of “key technologies for large-scale purification of active ingredients from Hirudo medicinalis and their new application scenarios.” The team comprises a total of 29 members, including 8 PhD holders, 13 master’s degree holders, and 4 individuals with senior professional titles. The team’s personnel are distributed across the entire industry chain—from aquaculture and breeding to R&D, production, and sales.
In September 2024, the company signed a contract with the Yuxi Municipal Government of Yunnan Province, officially launching the construction of the Huazhi Pharmaceutical Yuxi Factory.
